History of the program

How Big Are Your Dreams? was developed collaboratively by Jane Stratton (then Head, Corporate Social Responsibility) at Gilbert + Tobin Lawyers. It was successfully piloted with partners Tranby Aboriginal College and University of Technology, Sydney (UTS):Education in 2009. Nine students completed the pilot in 2009. The pilot cohort of this program called themselves Proud Aboriginal Kids of Today (PAKT, 2009). For more information visit Proud Aboriginal Kids of Today (PAKT) (opens an external site).

In 2010 the program was transferred to the Australian Centre for Child and Youth Culture and Wellbeing (ACCY) at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).  With the successful graduation of the 2011 cohort followed by a new group of students in 2012, the program continues to evolve through ongoing and growing collaboration.
